Article in Planning & Technology Today

by Tim on August 2, 2010

The American Planning Association (APA) is the largest and probably most esteemed professional organization representing the field of city and regional planning in the United States.

Their Technology Division publishes Planning & Technology Today, a quarterly newsletter. From the about page:

The American Planning Association (APA) Technology Division links you with others who share your interest in the use of technology in land use planning and community development. The division consists of members with a common interest in the uses and impact of technology in planning the future of our communities.

I was recently invited to contribute a brief write-up of what ParticipateDB is about. You can read it online here: ParticipateDB: Mapping the Global E-Participation Tool Landscape

A lot of the 199 projects currently listed on ParticipateDB have a planning background. We hope that the planning professionals in the APA will find the site useful.
